Netball World Youth Cup 2017 to be livestreamed to all.
The International Netball Federation’s flagship Youth Event, Netball World Youth Cup 2017, will take place in Gaborone, Botswana from 8 – 16 July and netball fans the world over will be able to watch matches live, with every match available for catch up via the tournament YouTube channel: www.youtube.com/netballworldyouthcup.
The live streaming, ensuring fans of all twenty competing teams can follow their progress as they happen, is an innovative partnership between the INF and Botswana online community portal Tsena, supported by Botswana TV and UK-based digital media specialists QTV Sports.
This tournament is the first time that the INF has taken a mobile-first approach to a global tournament. In addition to offering core live and features content on the tournament’s YouTube channel, Facebook page, and Twitter feed, each of the participating nations will have the opportunity to livestream their matches on their own Facebook page and Twitter feed and utilise real-time in-play clips.
The Hon Molly Rhone OJ, CD, President of the International Netball Federation, says: “It’s important to the INF that we can take these matches to our fans, both young and old worldwide, in a manner that’s current and relevant and in a way in which they want to receive them. Netball’s popularity has never been greater and we want to keep it in the spotlight, keep growing our fan base, and deliver a thrilling world class event.”
Tsena Project Manager, Thato Moruti, says:  “We are very excited that the Netball World Youth Cup 2017 is taking place in Botswana.  This is a great opportunity to tell the story to the world, for the world to see that there is talent in Africa, and more especially for Botswana to build its international face.”
This is the INF’s inaugural Netball World Youth Cup, building on from seven World Youth Netball Championships since 1988, the last being held in Glasgow, Scotland and won by New Zealand.
This is also the first time that the INF has held an international event in Africa, the region with the highest number of member countries in the world.
The next Netball World Youth Cup will take place in 2021 in Suva, Fiji.
Malaysia's Nasional Team Aim To Achieve Success At 2017 Sea Games

I would like to share more about netball and I got this article from other web site. Hope it will us more information about Netball Team Malaysia :D

Malaysia’s Chef-de Mission (CDM) to the 2017 SEA Games Datuk Marina Chin is confident of the national netball team performing well at the biannual multi-sport event to be held from Aug 19 to 31.
This, she said, was based on the squad’s high spirit and current performance.
“Based on reports, their fitness level have improved, so I am confident they will perform well,” she told reporters after visiting the venue for the squad’s training at the Bukit Jalil Sports School (BJSS) here today.
The squad emerged as champion at the Asian Netball Championship 2016 held in August last year, while at the 2015 SEA Games in Singapore, the team won the silver medal after losing by a narrow three points to the host team.
Meanwhile, the national netball team chief coach, Tracey Robinson, said she was satisfied with the squad current performance.
“We are in the second phase at the moment, the first phase was about increasing their strength and conditions in which they have really improved, and they are looking stronger.
“I am feeling quite confident at this stage, but anything can happen, so we will do everything in our preparation and try to be as strong as possible before the SEA Games,” she added. — Bernama

netball

So I would like to introduce about netball first.

What is Netball?

Netball is a fast, exciting, true team sport which involves running, jumping, throwing and catching.
Netball is similar to basketball although the rules, equipment and team numbers are slightly different: no dribbling; no running with the ball; 7 players per team; ball must be passed in 3 seconds; ball and basket are slightly smaller; there is no backboard; players are designated to certain areas of the court. Netball also has similarities to european handball, korfball and ultimate frisbee.
Netball is played by over 20 million people in more than 70 countries. In 1995, Netball became a “recognized” Olympic sport and a strong push is underway for its inclusion in the Olympic Games Program.

History of Netball

During the winter of 1891, James Naismith, a young instructor at the YMCA Training School at Springfield, Massachusetts, was assigned a task of finding an indoor sport for men – the result was basketball.  He based the game on the following principles: should be no running with the ball; no personal contact and the goal should be horizontal and elevated.  Senda Berenson who arrived at the college as a gymnastics instructor wondered whether this game would be a good activity for women.  She then designed women’s basketball.  She solved the question of overtaxing the women physically by dividing the court into three equal sections and requiring players to stay in their assigned section.   Thus, the players could not run all over the court and become exhausted.  She justified the three-section court because it encouraged team play.  To assure womanly play Berenson prohibited players from snatching or batting the ball from the hands of another player.  To increase the pace of the game, players were not permitted to hold the ball for longer than three seconds and they could not bounce or dribble the ball more than three times.  It wasn’t until the 1960’s that this version of the game was changed to the name of ‘Netball’.  The sport has taken off through the Commonwealth countries and is the women’s #1 team sport in countries such as Australia, New Zealand, England, Jamaica, Hong Kong, South Africa and Fiji, however remained unknown in the USA.
Even though Netball has been played in the USA for 30 years, several organizations have failed to get Americans playing the sport or help expose Netball to get the attention it deserves. As the largest Netball organization in the USA, Netball America is the first to introduce Netball into core USA education curriculums with our education programs being implemented throughout Miami-Dade County Public Schools (350+), New York City Housing Authority Community Centers (400+) and at Wayne State College.
